Baby Story Time: Newborn to 18 months

We read simple board books and do rhymes and bounces, tickles and hugs. The purpose is to show care-givers how to enjoy books with their babies, and introduce our youngest patrons to the joy of language.

Toddler Story Time: 18 months to 3 years

Children listen to three or four stories, and participate in circle games, songs, and finger plays with the librarian and their care-giver.

Preschool Story Time: 3 years and older

We read three or four stories, do songs and “stretches” and end with a simple craft project. Children are expected to attend without their care-giver, but the staff is flexible about this.

What’s the Big Idea? Math & Science Story Time: Ages 4-6

Based on the What’s the Big Idea? program by the Mother Goose Programs (Vermont Center for the Book) this offering incorporates math and science into a story time and activity.

Science Squad: Grades 1-5

Is your child interested in learning about science, outer space and America’s space program? They may want to consider joining the Science & Astronomy Club. We will do science experiments and learn about space in a messy but educational way. Children do not need to attend every meeting, and can join at any point in the meeting schedule. Everyone is highly encouraged to wear old clothing!
