Computer Use & Library Cards

The Children’s Department in the Beverly Public Library offers an extensive collection of materials for children from birth to fifth grade including: books, magazines, audiobooks, music CDs, and DVDs. We also have a section of materials for parents, provide support to local teachers, and offer a number of programs and special events for children of all ages.


  • We have 4 internet computers for children in grades 5 and under, with a time limit of 3 hours per day.
  • We offer free WIFI for patrons with their own wireless devices.
  • By using the internet in the Beverly Public Library, you agree to abide by our Internet Use Policy. You may lose your internet privileges if you do not follow these rules.
  • A catalog computer is also available for both children and adults to use.

Library Cards

  • Children in grades 5 and under may apply for their library cards in the Children’s Room.
  • A parent’s signature is needed on the application.
  • There is no minimum age limit.
  • The Beverly Public Library honors cards from other Massachusetts libraries.
