If the Moon is made out of green cheese, then we better taste some! In honor of the summer reading theme, “A Universe of Stories,” we have embraced the rumors about the Moon! Learn about cheese pairings from Emmy Frye, Banquet Chef at the Hawthorne Hotel, and try some delicious cheese. Registration required.

July 20: Moon Landing 50th Anniversary Party

Join us on July 20 for an all day, all-ages Moon landing anniversary party. From Moon inspired story times, to drop-in cosmic art, to straw rocket building, there is something for everyone. We will cap off the day with an all-ages, space-themed presentation. Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of “one giant leap for mankind.”

All Day: Phases of the Moon and Planets Scavenger Hunt
9:30 AM: Special Moon Inspired Baby and Toddler Story Time
10 AM: Adults and Teen Drop-in Cosmic Art
10:30 AM: Special Moon Inspired Preschool Story Time and Craft
11 AM: Teen Straw Rocket Building
12 PM: Marshmallow Constellations for Grades K-5
2 PM: Special Space-themed Presentation by Richard Fecteau on the Moon Landing
