The main library offers free notary services by appointment only. Use our Book a Librarian system to schedule an appointment.
We are not experts in law or finance and cannot notarize some documents including: copy certifications, powers of attorney, wills, trusts, real estate closings, and various types of financial documents. We cannot perform jurats, notarial acts requiring swearing or taking an oath. If you are unsure we can notarize your documents, call the library in advance of booking your appointment to verify.
To prepare for your notary appointment, bring a government-issued photo ID (license or passport) and your completed documents. Depending on the notarial act required, you may need to sign your documents in front of the Notary Public.
