The main library offers free notary services by appointment. Use our Book a Librarian system to schedule an appointment.
We are not experts in law or finance and cannot notarize some documents including: copy certifications, powers of attorney, wills, trusts, real estate closings, and various types of financial documents. If you are unsure we can notarize your documents, call the library in advance of booking your appointment to verify.
To prepare for your notary appointment, bring a photo ID (license, state-issued ID, or passport) and your unsigned documents. You can and should complete your paperwork before your appointment, but all signature lines must be left blank. You will sign your documents in front of the notary public.
