The main library has a MakerBot Replicator 3D printer available for public use.
To schedule an instructional session or appointment to use the printer, contact Matthew Martens.
Our Introduction to 3D Printing instructional session is required for individuals or small groups before using the printer independently. The session covers the basics of working with the 3D printer, and simple design using Thingiverse and Tinkercad software. Open to ages 12 and up.
For independent printer use:
- Patrons must sign both a user agreement and waiver of liability.
- There is a $2 fee for prints up to 6 hours and $4 for prints from 6-11 hours.
- Print jobs must not be longer than 11 hours.
- All printing must be completed 30 minutes before the library closes.
The library’s 3D printer was generously provided by the Friends of the Beverly Public Library.
